Helpful Hints

To create the techniques featured in this artwork, follow the helpful hints outlined below.
  • Cut the following Cricut® Art Philosophy shapes using paper of choice:
    • 3/4" <Circle1> (p. 21)
    • 1 1/4" <Circle1> (p. 21)
    • 1 1/2" <Rctngle6> (p. 45)
    • 2" <Rctngle7> (p. 55)
  • Use corner rounder to round two corners on White Daisy cardstock, Lagoon cardstock, and chevron B&T paper.
  • Tear one edge of Lagoon cardstock.
  • Lightly sponge some edges of papers with Black ink, if desired.
  • Add visual interest by coloring the cork shapes with a sponge dauber and Black ink, if desired.
  • Stamp lantern border along one side of cover with Black ink. Trace some elements of lanterns with the Lagoon marker. Color bulbs with the Honey marker.
  • Embellish with your choice of stamped accents and accessories, adding dimension with 3-D foam tape as desired.
  • Add embellishments to the pages.

Helpful Hints

To create the techniques featured in this artwork, follow the helpful hints outlined below. Then use the pattern found on page 6 (Make It from Your Heart® Volume 2: Pattern 1) of our Make It from Your Heart® Volume 2 how-to publication for inspiration.
  • Cut the following Cricut® Art Philosophy shapes using paper of choice:
    • 1 1/2" Shift+Font <Acorn> (p. 36)
    • 1 1/2" Font <Tag1> (p. 30)
    • 1 1/2" Font <Shape7> (p. 37)
  • Sponge edges of some of the papers with Black ink, if desired.
  • Cover one pennant cork shape with Lagoon cardstock, if desired.
  • Add visual interest by coloring the cork shapes with a sponge dauber and Black ink, if desired.
  • Assemble scrapbook page and stitch border around base page, if desired.
  • Embellish with paper accents and accessories, adding dimension with 3-D foam tape as desired.

To create the techniques featured in this artwork, follow the helpful hints outlined below. Then use the pattern found on page 119 (Wishes: Gallery™) of our Wishes® how-to publication for inspiration.
  • Add dimension by stamping lantern image once on White Daisy cardstock square and once on Honey cardstock with Black ink. Trim image on Honey cardstock and attach with 3-D foam tape directly over image stamped on White Daisy cardstock.
  • Add visual interest by coloring the cork shapes with a sponge dauber and Black ink, if desired.
  • Sponge edges of some of the papers with Black ink, if desired.
  • Embellish with paper accents and accessories as desired.
